“Sonic the Hedgehog” is a Japanese video game series developed by Sega. The history of Sonic’s creation dates back to the 1990s, when Mario, an iconic character presented by Nintendo, appeared on the video game market. Sega, on the other hand, was a competitor to Nintendo and literally had to develop its own hero – an equally iconic one that would be able to compete with Nintendo’s flagship character.
